Redland Preschool and Daycare, a mission of Redland United Methodist Church, strives to help children develop physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally in a caring Christian atmosphere. Parents and teachers work together and communicate openly to keep focus on the welfare of the child. Both the preschool and daycare facilitate a positive group setting allowing children to interact with their peers, developing confidence and cooperation skills. The preschool academics are taught through the ABeka curriculum. Basics, such as letter recognition and sounds, numbers, art, and music are taught, as well as bible verses and stories to develop the children's awareness of the spiritual world.
Student & Program Goals
To develop confidence, independence, and acceptance of oneself.
To learn how to interact positively in group situations.
To encourage creativity.
To provide a Christian example to the entire community and encourage Christianity as a way of living.
To provide a safe place in which each child will develop physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Preschool / Daycare
We offer daycare for infants (six weeks) through age two, as well as before and after-school care for elementary school children (through 5th grade). Preschool education is offered to children ages 28 months-age 5 (pre-kindergarten). Hours of operation are 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Delays/closings due to inclement weather are announced on WINC radio (92.5 FM). If you call the preschool/daycare at (540) 888-8476, you will receive an updated message from our voice mail system.
The school year coincides with Frederick County Public Schools academic schedule. A summer program is held from the end of the regular school year until the first day of school for the new school year. We have nice scheduled closings throughout the year. For more information, email Donna McCarty, Redland PS/DC Director.

IMPACT After School Program
Our after school program, Individuals Making Positive Actions & Choices Today, is an extension of our preschool/daycare. IMPACT is a safe alternative for youth during after-school hours. It is a place where they will encounter positive adult mentors, be encouraged by daily discussions on topics that impact our faith, values, morality, ethics, and actions, have an opportunity to wind down after a long day at school, and have fun with one another.
For more information, email Angie Feathers, IMPACT Program Coordinator.

We have created a Christian program based on Biblical truths and principles while respecting the beliefs and values of the youth and their families.
Each day during Connect a discussion starter will kick things off. We will attempt to offer something to learn based on information from trusted resources and on Bible passages while giving youth a chance to talk and ask questions. Connect topics often run as a series for a week or more.
Topics include Freedom Isn't Free, Mistakes and Forgiveness, Impacting our Community, Health and Money Matters, Careers, Q&A on Magic and Spells, What Do You Believe?, and Current Events.
